Drake’s Barrel House
1933 Davis Street, Building 177, San Leandro, California, 94577

Two years ago, then-Head-Brewer Brian Thorson invited a bunch of former Drake’s brewers back to make a beer together. They (of course) made a bigass barleywine, and tossed it into Samuel Adams Utopias® barrels, procured from Bert Boyce. In addition to Brian & Bert, Jeff O’Neil, Melissa Myers, Rodger Davis, and Josh Miner were also on the brew deck that day. This week (aside from a lucky few GABF attendees), it’s finally time to taste the malts of those labors.

And for the historically curious, here’s the Northwest Brewing News article from the brewday in the summer of 2011: http://ww.epro2.com/publication/?i=71631&p=35

The small print:
Doors open noon to 9 as usual, 510 Burger will be there, and there will be a bottle limit of 2 per person, at $14.99+tax & CRV. First come, first served, and as this is Drake’s first major barrel-aged bottle release, we expect them to go fast, as will the very small amount we will have on tap.
