Events Assistant & Festival Coordinator

This role will be responsible for managing Drake’s off-site festival calendar and registrations along with assisting the Events Manager event operations and brand experience functions both on-site at Drake’s retail locations and out in the community. This role will provide a part-time opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to gain event experience and recognition in the craft beer industry.

Reports to: Bay Area Events & Community Manager
Type: Part Time, Non-Exempt
Pay: $15.00/hr and Compensation for Mileage

 

Responsibilities

● Respond to requests for event participation based on direction from Events &
Community Manager or local Sales Market Manager
● Process necessary information required for event participation including
application forms, brewery/beer information, requests for logo/brand imagery
● Make sure event participation is in compliance with CA ABC laws and request
copies of legal paperwork for Drake’s festival records
● Schedule events on Google Calendar, update event information in Drake’s Event
Master Sheet, upload all legal documents and invoices to Google Calendar
● Schedule assisting staff, coordinate logistics of transporting equipment and beer
to event, handle set up and break down, clean equipment after use, and submit
event recap information. Coordinate equipment use and care. Function as event
lead for festivals as needed (should expect to work several Saturdays during
peak event season).
● Work with Drake’s Bay Area retail location staff and Events Manager to assist
with in house events
● Provide assistance with hosting groups for brewery tours and educational events
● Maximize opportunities for signage and brand exposure at events
● Ensure all event kits, vehicles and draft equipment are properly stocked and
maintained
● Manage Donation requests and pick up coordination

Requirements

Flexible Hours & Weekend Availability Required

● Must be over 21
● Have a CA driver’s license with clean driving record
● Able to lift up to 60lbs on a regular basis, comfortable maneuvering and
transporting kegs and event equipment
● Proficient knowledge of Excel, Word, and Google Calendar/Drive
● Be organized, detail oriented, responsible and enthusiastic about craft beer
● Work well with others, maintain a positive and proactive attitude
● Cicerone Beer Server certification is a plus, but not required
