Senior People Ops Generalist

Drake’s Brewing Company is looking for a Sr. People Operations Generalist to join the team! The Senior People Ops Generalist plays a critical role in People Operations & Employee Experience by ensuring that our employees are happy, healthy, and safe coming to work every day.  This is an exciting opportunity to shape our HR practices.

Reports to: Director of Finance & Administration

  • Generate creative, innovative, and inclusive HR & business solutions, and make recommendations to senior & executive leadership
  • Be an internal HR partner and leader to all of our departments to align HR initiatives with business & operational needs
  • Manage company HRIS platforms and administer all benefits, salary, and performance management programs to ensure compliance and equity within the organization
  • Serve as an effective and dedicated HR advisor to managers and other employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
  • Model and foster a culture of problem-solving, optimism, teamwork, and integrity
  • Plan and facilitate company communications, including employee newsletter, emails, town halls, round tables, and others
  • Coordinate recruitment and staffing processes with VP of HR and hiring managers, including posting, sourcing, interviewing, and applicant tracking
  • Own the entire employee life cycle, from onboarding and orientation all the way through termination and off-boarding


  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a Generalist role
  • Minimum 2 years of leading a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of California and federal labor laws
  • Experience in a diverse & multi-site organization
  • Strong communication (oral/written), organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and follow-up
  • Emotional Intelligence and open mindset. Growth mindset
  • Additional HR certifications are a plus
  • Self-starter mentality with a commitment to excellence and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, GSuite, HRIS systems (Paylocity a plus), and comfortable learning new technology as needed
