The Sour Sunday

The Sour Sunday has been the Bay Area's premier exhibition of sour & barrel-aged beers for a decade. Presented in Downtown Berkeley by Jupiter, Triple Rock Brewing & Drake's Brewing, this festival celebrates extraordinary and unique beers from more than 60 of the world's finest sour beer brewers.

Rain or shine, come ready to taste the rarest, wildest, sourest, funkiest and horseblanketiest brews of them all!

Monday, Feb. 4, Drake's Dealership

Join Drake's Brewing Co. and HenHouse Brewing Company at Drake's Dealership in Oakland for an epic beer dinner battle royale to debut "Fowl Play VI?" a new Old Ale collaboration beer. YOU will determine which Brewmaster wins ultimate bragging rights by best pairing their beers to Chef Taylor's five-course prix fixe menu.

The event will begin with a casual schmooze fest with Drake's Brewmaster John Gillooly and HenHouse Brewmaster Collin McDonnell. After being seated, the Brewmasters will present their beer pairings course-by-course, explaining why they chose what they chose, allowing you to ask questions, then cast your vote. Who take home the title? That's entirely up to you!

Ticket price includes 5-course meal, 9 beer pairings, brews during the mingling hour, a private dining experience and open discussion session with the brewers. Service fees, tax and gratuity are included. Limited seating available!

Uptown Funk: Beer & Cheese Pairing

Drake's Brewing Co. Barrel Program Manager Travis Camacho is teaming up with local cheese expert and "It's Not You, It's Brie" author Kirstin Jackson, to take you on a journey through beer and cheese magic. You'll learn how cheese is made, what styles of beer and cheese pair best, and leave with the power to pair your own at home.

We're talking chèvre, buttery triple cremes and pungent blues, paired with IPAs, Porters, Berliner Weisse... maybe even a limited release or two. Grab a friend or bring a date to this cheese and beer love fest!

This will be a private event with limited seating available. Tickets include one (1) 4oz pour of five different brews, paired with 5 unique cheeses. Tax and gratuity are included.

Pae-Yeah! Party

Wednesday, Feb. 6, Drake's Barrel House

Pae-Yeah! Join Drake's Brewing Co. and Old Caz Beer in celebrating San Francisco Beer Week with a Spanish fiesta, complete with steaming eats, delicious craft brews and live music.

Come to Drake's Barrel House on Wednesday, February 6th starting at 5pm for tapas, fresh sangria, and paella dishes from Gerard's Paella. Live Spanish guitar music will serenade you as you sip on Drake's brew classics and special releases, alongside guest beers from our new friends Old Caz Beer, located in Rohnert Park.

Tickets include one plate of paella and Spanish tapas, plus one beer or sangria. Additional food and beverage may be purchased at the event. This package will increase to $30 at the door, so purchase today to save money!

Drake's Advanced Oak Cellar Release

Thursday, Feb. 7, Drake's Barrel House

Flock to Drake's Barrel House on Thursday, February 7th for your chance to claim a piece of Drake's Brewing Co.'s funky, sour and barrel-aged collection! We're bringing out the good stuff, (like that whiskey your grandma saves for special occasions) including your favorite Advanced Oak bottles, our most recently corked options and a few favorites from the archives. We're diving deep into our dusty cellar to pull out the rarest, most coveted creations we've ever brewed. This will be the only time our cellar is completely open to the public in 2019, so don't miss out!

Barrel Program Manager, Travis Camacho, will be on hand to chat barrels and bugs, as well as provide insider information about the '89 Club, our barrel-aged membership program. Not only will club members receive exclusive access to all barrel-aged brews for growler fills during all of 2019, membership also includes signature '89 Club glassware, access to Advanced Oak beers before the general public, members-only events, free VIP upgrades at select brewery events and first right of acceptance for 2020 membership. Wake & Drake Brewer's Brunch with Beachwood Brewing

Saturday, Feb. 9, Drake's Dealership

Roll out of bed for Wake & Drake brunch at Drake's Dealership, where you can meet Brewmasters John Gillooly of Drake's Brewing Co. and Julian Shrago of Beachwood Brewing. Soak up all the beer week liver damage with brunch food classics created by Executive Chef Taylor A. Smith, perfectly paired with liquid restoratives like our 5th Anniversary 510 Malt Liquor, Flyway Micheladas, Bottomless Beermosas and more.

Chat with the (hungover) brewers as they entertain brunch-goers with tales of collab brewing adventures, Star Trek cease-and-desist notices, and all the shenanigans they've gotten up to during San Francisco Beer Week 2019. Live music and non-alcoholic offerings are available for all, including canines and those under 21. No tickets required. Just show up!

BEND & BREWS (AND BRUNCH!)

We're getting in touch with our flexible side with a kickass brewery yoga classes! Drake's Bends & Brews is an all-levels vinyasa flow taught by Drake's own Natalie Somers. Natalie has been a certified yoga instructor since 2013, filling her classes with opportunities to be curious about yourself and find harmony within. She also is an avid craft beer fan and long-time employee of Drake's Dealership.

Her Sunday morning class at our brewery will stretch your mind, soul and beer belly, ending with plenty of time to drink and mingle at Drake's Barrel House before your Sunday adventures. Price includes a one-hour yoga class, access to our Brew!Kitchen Yoga buffet and complimentary flagship pint to be redeemed after instruction.

All guests must be of legal drinking age, 21+ only. Please come prepared with your own yoga mat, workout appropriate attire, and a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Drake's Grillin' & Chillin': A Family Affair

Celebrate the end of the SF Beer Week insanity with the entire Drake's Brewing Co. family. Our sister breweries Triple Rock Brewing and Jupiter will be in the house, their beer flowing from our taps. Bring your family to toss some corn hole, play board games or just chill in the sun in our Adirondack chairs.

The event will also include Drake's co-owner Roy Kirkorian, fondly known as Papa Roy, serving up his famous Santa Maria tri-tip. All available SF Beer Week debut releases will be on draft, alongside your favorite Drake's flagship brews. Come by any time!
