Merchandise Coordinator

Reports to: Marketing Project Manager

The Merchandise Coordinator supports the Operations, Sales and Marketing teams and distributors by filling wholesale and retail POS orders, packing pallets, and tracking inventory.  

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive and verify merchandise orders accurately, including pre-folding wearablesto ensure stock is ‘retail ready’
  • Operate forklift or pallet jack to transfer materials through warehouse, as needed
  • Properly organize warehouse to ensure all materials are readily accessible, countable and identifiable
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy in inventory integrity and daily operations
  • Monitor inventory levels to minimize inventory loss
  • Stock materials in designated inventory locations and inform management of shortages or damages
  • Fulfill on-line, retail, distributor and sales representative orders and pack shipments for appropriate carriers
  • Prepare, count and reconcile end of month inventory
  • Positively represent the Drake’s brand through all interactions with the public, our vendors, and our internal staff at all locations
  • Process paperwork and maintain accurate and accessible records
  • Take charge of new projects to expand our merchandise presence in the marketplace.
  • Prepare and palletize merchandise and supplies for events, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a warehouse position or similar
  • Some retail experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Able to operate and use a computer, proficient in Microsoft Office suite, cloud-based file management, and inventory management software. Knowledge of Netsuite a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counting
  • Ability to start and finish tasks in a timely manner; ability to be proactive and take initiative
  • Ability to multi-task in high energy environment
  • Ability to excel in an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to follow directions well and learn quickly
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Prior forklift operation experience a plus; will re-certify upon hire
  • Ability to be available for a flexible schedule
  • Experience with craft beer preferred, but not required
