Driving to Drake’s
Finding the Drake’s is no easy feat, but it is possible. Just use the directions and map below.
- Take Highway 880 to the Davis Street exit.
- Turn left onto Davis Street if you’re exiting from 880-N, or right onto Davis Street if you’re exiting from 880-S.
- Turn left onto Westgate Parkway, and follow until you get to Walmart.
- Turn right into the Walmart parking lot, and follow all the way to the back—past the front of Walmart and the side of Sports Authority. Drake’s will seemingly appear out of nowhere, and you have arrived.
Using Public Transit to Visit Drake’s
NOTE: BART service will be interrupted between Fruitvale & Coliseum stations intermittently this summer. Please check BART’s website for up-to-date schedule information if you’re BARTing to San Leandro.
AC Transit Bus #89 Counterclockwise leaves the San Leandro BART station every half-hour(-ish). Once the bus turns left off Davis onto Westgate Parkway and you see the Westgate Center on your right (Home Depot, Togo’s, See’s), hit the Stop Request button. Get off and walk between Walmart & Sports Authority to get back to Drake’s.
The LINKS Free Shuttle North Loop leaves the San Leandro BART station every 15 minutes during peak hours Monday-Friday, 3pm-7pm. Board at the LINKS stop at San Leandro BART, and get off at Williams & Westgate Parkway (immediately after it tuns off Merced). Walk along Westgate parkway and turn left at Walmart to find Drake’s.
Walking & Biking to Drake’s
While Davis St does have a bike lane for some of its length, we highly recommend using the slower Williams St if you’re biking (or walking) to Drake’s from BART. Head south (right) on San Leandro Blvd, then make a right on Williams. A few minutes after the 880 overpass, make a right onto Westgate Parkway, then take the first left behind the Walmart building, and you’ll see us right in front of you. Like so.
Cabbing to Drake’s
The San Leandro BART station has a taxi stand which often has cabs waiting. Request a ride to “the Walmart on Davis” if the driver is unfamiliar with Drake’s. If you plan on cabbing back to BART, ask the cab driver for his/her card (or ask one of our bartenders). Cab fare each way is approximately $10.

Thu-Sat 11:30a-1:00a (kitchen closes at 11:00p)
We recommend taking public transportation to Drake’s Dealership as we are only 4 blocks from the 19th Street BART station and in close proximity to the 1, 12 and 51 AC Transit lines.
We are easily accessible via bicycle with ample bike parking just outside our restaurant in The Hive.
If you’re driving, please make sure you have a designated driver. Parking is available on the street or in many nearby parking structures. From 580, take the Broadway exit toward downtown or 980 via West Grand.
