HAYS: A New Series of Hazy IPAs in Cans

We’re no stranger to hazy IPAs. In fact, we’ve brewed small batches of juicy brews for years. Our first hazy beer sold out in just two days. It was the fastest selling beer we’ve ever made. More draft only releases quickly followed, and demand for cans grew louder. Today we’re happy to announce that HAYS, our new series of hazy IPAs made by DRAKE’S MFG, will go on sale in 16 oz. cans, Friday, July 13th, at Drake’s Barrel House and Dealership.

You may have already seen HAYS on tap in California. A few months ago, we quietly released Beam Splitter IPA. This draft only release went on tap at bars and restaurants with little fanfare. We skipped the big press release and flashy marketing campaign. As always, we wanted the quality of the beer to speak for itself, and the response has been incredible.

Now that Drake’s is the proud owner of a small canning line, each HAYS beer will be released in limited four-packs of 16 oz. cans. The cans will only be available for purchase at Drake’s Barrel House in San Leandro, Drake’s Dealership in downtown Oakland, and our new outpost in West Sacramento called The Barn, opening later this summer. By the way, you can expect more than just HAYS in 16 oz. cans this year, but we’ll talk more about that later.

Beam Splitter IPA will be the first HAYS beer in a can. Our brewers packed it with Amarillo, El Dorado, Citra, and Mosaic hops. It’s bursting with citrus, stone fruit, melon, and papaya flavors. Once poured, the beer casts a beautiful orange glow. Four packs of cans will go on sale at Drake’s Barrel House and Dealership, Friday, July 13th, at 11:30am, while supplies last.
