Front Of House Supervisor
Type: Part-time, Non-Exempt (30+ hrs in Peak Season)
Reports to: Service and Hospitality Manager
Pay: $29.00 per hour
As a Front-of-House Supervisor at Drake’s Dealership, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with oversight of service, guest experience, and atmosphere for all indoor and outdoor spaces. This individual must be able to multitask, delegate, and motivate. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the operational structure of the Dealership, strong leadership skills, and creative problem-solving capability. The candidate will report to the FOH Management team regarding observations, recommendations, and solutions to operational issues.
Responsibilities
Service
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest experience through awareness, knowledge, and compassion
- Coordinate with Leadership Team, and communicate vital info to the FOH team
- Pouring beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages responsibly & properly to ensure the highest quality of product delivery, and holding the team accountable to do the same
- Ensure lighting, music, and temperature are appropriate for best guest experience
- Run the floor during service, ensuring the team receives breaks on time, has what they need to execute their duties, and that guests have a continuously positive experience
- Assist with monitoring and managing FOH labor costs vs revenue each day onsite
- Oversee training for all FOH staff on processes and procedures
- Control liabilities such as underage drinking, overconsumption, and staff & guest safety
Bar
- Remain up to date with any menu changes, specials, etc., relay updates to FOH team, & communicate with Leadership regarding any questions, concerns, or proposed solutions
- Assist with organization and development of each bar including but not limited to: menu development, bar prep, daily setup, needed tools, service execution, etc.
- Oversee training for all FOH staff on processes and procedures
- Conduct weekly inventory of beverages, ingredients, and tools
Administrative
- Attend all required meetings
- Utilize all provided tools to ensure success of role, communicating needs to Leadership
- Assist with monthly inventory of beverages, merch, and office supplies
- Provide oversight for banquets, reservations and guest experience, responding to requests promptly and effectively
- Encourage and participate in a positive and fun working environment by developing a strong working relationship with staff
Requirements
- 1-2 years of floor managing experience
- Excellent knowledge of all alcoholic beverages – ability to train staff on any beverage
- Excellent knowledge of draft systems
- Experienced in cocktail skills – building cocktails, batched cocktails, etc.
- Ability to take responsibility, make quick and informed operational decisions
- Ability to adapt, think quickly, prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to direct, train, and coach FOH staff
- Excellent time management & organizational skills
- Experience in POS management
- Basic excel and industry-relevant platform knowledge
