Seasonal Host, Runner, Bartender

Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Reporting to: Barn Service & Hospitality Manager, Bar Manager
Rate: $16.00 per Hour plus Tips

Drake’s Brewing Company is a top 10 Northern California craft brewer. We are looking for Seasonal Hosts, Runners, and Bartenders. The employment timeframe for this position will be from April through October. Candidates may be offered the opportunity to return for further employment, but it is not guaranteed. In the FOH role, you will support our guests by creating a unique and interactive experience with craft beer, delicious cocktails, elevated bar food, and a fun vibe.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Provide any necessary information pertaining to current policies and regulations
  • Organize and maintain all reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists
  • Provide support to all areas of the space as needed
  • Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries
  • Provide the correct contact information to guests regarding reservation, banquet, and/or event requests
  • Pour beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages responsibly and properly in order to ensure the highest quality of product and the highest level of responsibility
  • Ensure smooth service by quickly and accurately making drinks for guests and the service well
  • Conduct bar-related prep – restocking, changing kegs, cutting fruit, etc.
  • Provide friendly and welcoming service to each guest
  • Be knowledgeable about all food and beverages served
  • Maintain a clean working environment
  • Maintain contact with FOH Staff, Kitchen staff and Management to ensure guest concerns are addressed
  • Complete all tasks and trainings assigned by Management team

Requirements

  • Experience with POS systems
  • Proficient beer knowledge: styles, flavor profiles, etc.
  • Proficient knowledge of location’s beverages: spirits, cocktails, N/A bevs, cider, etc.
  • Experience with running an efficient, high-volume well
  • Familiarity with reservation platforms
  • High level of verbal and written communication
  • Ability to competently use tablets and other electronic devices
  • Ability to engage guests and sell beer, cider, etc. via carts, at booths, or at mobile bars
  • Basic understanding of draft systems
  • Basic understanding of opening and closing a bar
  • Ability to change a keg
  • Current RBS and Food Handlers Card or the ability to obtain upon hiring
