Side Bar Friday: Cuatro Patos Beer Release
Sidle up to the Side Bar for weekly events from our Tours & Education Team! Every Friday from 4-8pm at Drake’s Barrel House, Program Manager Eric and Brand Ambassador Constance will be dropping knowledge and highlighting the fun we get to have with flavor. This is your opportunity to learn, drink and encounter unexpected new things!
This week we’re featuring a new collaboration with Cerveceria Dos Aves. Dos Aves Brewer, Francisco Kameko, used to work in San Leandro, where he developed a love for Drake’s beer, especially 1500 Pale Ale. When he and his partner opened a brewery in beautiful San Miguel de Allende, they brewed an American-style pale ale inspired by 1500 and won numerous awards. They reached out to discuss a collaboration, and we were happy to do a mash-up of their pale ale and our 1500 recipe, with a twist in the hop bill!
Brewmaster Gillooly will be joining us for the release of Cuatro Patos, ready to answer your questions about the recipe differences and why it’s important to constantly be innovating and evolving, even with flagship brews.
Side Bar Fridays highlight the eclectic offerings that our taproom has to offer, from strong beers to session suds, experimental brews to barrel aged sours, and the whole spectrum between. Whether you’re a beer geek or hop novice, these events are accessible for all. Ask questions, get geeky and we’ll keep up with you!
