Sassabration

Sassabration Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located at Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint located next door to the Carson Hot Springs at 1500 Old Hot Springs Road. This annual free event, held this year on Saturday July 14th, 2018 from 12-8pm,  features vendors, food, silent auction, musicians and other performers. Sassabration is a celebration of diversity, community and equality. The event is a fundraiser for local charities and this year proceeds will be donated to The Ron Wood Family Resource Center, PFLAG Carson Region and TAG (Transgender Allies Group). The event begins with a Drag Race Parade starting at the Brewery Arts Center at 11am and ending at Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint where the main event kicks off at noon. Our Grand Marshall, Adam Whitney, leads the parade down Carson Street. We are always looking for vendors, booth space is $75 until July 1, 2018, then it will increase. We greatly appreciate donations of silent auction items. 100% of the proceeds from items donated  and the vendor booth fees are given to the charities. Thank you

The Breastfest

Raise your glass for the 18th Annual Beer Festival and Fundraiser, The Breastfest!  Cheers to 18 years of fundraising and helping low-income women with cancer.  

The Breastfest is back on the Fairground Island at the Marin Center on Saturday, July 14th from 1-5pm.  Sample beer from some of the very best breweries in California such as, Marin Brewing Company, Moylan, Russian River, Benoit Casper, Drakes, Cellarmaker, Faction and many more.  Eat for free at the BBQ throughout the festival, listen to live music under the huge tent, win many, many great prizes and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the sunshine all while raising money for a great cause.

Taste your way through a pop-up beer garden with local breweries slinging their best botanical-forward brews.

Led Zeppelin Tribute Benefit Concert

Notes4Hope and Drake’s Dealership present a night of timeless “comfort” rock in Oakland. Hey Hey Mama band performs with an all-star lineup of Bay Area female vocalists, electrifying the audience with their spectacular renditions from the Led Zeppelin catalog.

Ales for ALS

The 5th Annual Ales for ALS Festival will be hosted at Faction Brewing on Saturday July 21st, 2018 from 1-5PM. Tickets are $45 (General Admission) or $60 (Do-Gooder: skip the line for faster check-in!) Both include a commemorative glass and unlimited tastings during the festival. Tickets will be $60 at the door if available, but advance tickets highly recommended.

ALL PROCEEDS go to the ALS-Therapy Development Institute.

Each year, Ales for ALS selects a unique hop blend, and participating breweries brew a beer with these hops. The 2018 Ales for ALS hop blend features: Ekuanot, Simcoe, Loral, and HBC 344, 520, and 630 hops provided by Hopunion and Loftus Ranches. Pedalfest Jack London Square

Presented by Bay Area Bicycle LawJohn Muir Health | UCSF Health, and Drake's Brewing Co., Pedalfest is a free celebration of bikes, cycling, food and family!

Join us at Jack London Square for a day of bicycle shenanigans, an amphibious bike race, dare-devil stunts, art bikes, and live music on a pedal-powered stage. Volunteers get a free t-shirt, lunch, and drink after your shift!

Enjoy pedal-powered food, a pedal-powered sound stage featuring live music, daredevil stunts, a kid’s bike rodeo, safety training, and the most amazing collection of bicycles to be seen from vintage and hand built bikes to high-end customs, sturdy commuters, and creative art bikes. Free Bike Valet will be available for all visitors!

FREE admission. The first 1,000 people who RSVP will get a free ice cream from Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream in Jack London Square!
